  • Did you mourn as deeply for the Jewish child with her throat cut? For her sisters and brothers? Mother and father? It is not time for us, meaning the US, to do anything because of just one more tragedy. Muslim baby, Jewish baby, mourn for both or neither.

  • I agree. If the rest of the muslim world saw their future they would all convert to moderate islam. Oh, would some one please define "moderate" for me? Does moderate mean he has not been tried in a court of law with his Miranda rights? What is the deffinition of "is?"

  • As far as I am concerned I would rather them be happy at the death of an enemy than mourning a fallen brother. Sometimes it is not happiness with the death of another. Sometimes it is the happiness to be alive. Sometimes it is the release of fear which makes us smile and rejoice.

  • RD, What I understand is that CA does have very strict requirements on legal gun ownership and even has a list of what one can or can not purchase. Are you referring to the whole state? the reason I ask is that I have a friend who lives near Sacremento and he reloads and purchases all the time.

  • 68, I agree they were heroes. And, it is a shame that the kids were shot. The trauma will be with them for a while yet to come, if not for life. The nut who did that could have used any number of weapons and done just as much damage.

  • Mel, you have to understand this is not a Republican/Democrat thing. That becomes part of the problem, we define issues in terms of parties.

  • Marrietta Georgia is a prime example of how wrong anti gun enthusiats are. When the city passed an ordinance requiring all households to be armed, the crime rate went down to zero.
